Pueblo Bonito

Pueblo Bonito means "Pretty Village" in Spanish. It is the largest and most famous ruin in Chaco Canyon. Pueblo Bonito had about 800 rooms. The only access to the rooms was from the central courtyard which also contained two Great Kivas and 37 smaller kivas. The photograph below shows what Pueblo Bonito looks like today... |
